Dr Kamyar Afarinkia and Dr Victoria Vinader from the University of Bradford have teamed up with Dr Colin Fishwick from the University of Leeds, and GlaxoSmithKline to develop novel pharmaceuticals agents for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. This exciting collaborative project that is supported by a health innovation fellow and will combine state of the art drug design, medicinal and computational chemistry, with in vitro test systems, to accelerate drug development in an area of significant unmet need.
