Children with Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD) often perform poorly in social and academic environments and this can continue well into adulthood. Prof Deborah Withington from Sound Alert Technology Plc, Prof Gordon Thomas from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and Dr Andrea Utley, a specialist in children motor disorder at the University of Leeds will investigate whether improvement in coordination skills can be achieved by an optimised light/broadband sound stimulus. Prof Thomas' sensors will be used for kinematics analysis.
