An increase in younger patients seeking orthopaedic surgery has led to a growing clinical need to develop a more conservative joint replacement therapy and postpone the need for full joint replacement. A collaborative project between the University of Bradford's Polymer IRC/CIC, led by Professor Phil Coates and Smith & Nephew's orthobiological team are working collaboratively to develop a novel solution to this clearly identified need and is seeking to develop a prototype product for pre-clinical and clinical validation. |
