The pharmaceutical sector is complex, global and highly regulated. This makes it difficult for SME’s, academics and healthcare entrepreneurs to clearly understand the path that they will have to take from having an early concept to getting it to market. The aim of this programme is to educate multi-sector individuals on the key aspects of taking a product to market in the pharmaceutical arena.

To gain a detailed understanding of this field three stand alone seminars will be held to cover the following areas:

  • Overview of the global pharmaceutical industry
  • Journey to market – from bench to bedside
  • Out Licensing and Partnering

These seminars can be attended as single sessions for general awareness-raising, or an individual may attend all 3 to obtain a detailed understanding. In parallel to the seminar programme is an interactive workshop approach. Individuals will work in small groups with a coach to assess pharmaceutical case studies in order to develop an outlicensing or investment proposition. Following this, participants will have the opportunity to experience pitching a technology to a ‘Dragons Den’ made up of senior personnel with experience of investing or licensing from the Pharmaceutical Industry.
